Bio - Lt. Michael Ciampo has been a career Firefighter for the last 32 years, he's spent the last 27 years with the FDNY and previously he spent 5 years with the District of Columbia FD. While working in the FDNY he has been assigned to a Tower Ladder unit in the FDNY as a Firefighter, Chauffeur and Officer. He is also previously served as a 4th generation volunteer with the Wyckoff, NJ VFD, Mike has a BA in Fire Science from John Jay College of Criminal Justice. He is a certified Fire Instructor and leads the FDIC Truck Essentials HOT class. He has written the Ladder chapter and co-written the Ventilation chapter for Pennwell's FF 1 & 2 Handbook. He also write the monthly back page column ON FIRE in Fire Engineering magazine.
