Pre-requisite of Rope Rescue Awareness
Class max of 24 students
PPE Required includes Class 3 harness, leather gloves (not firefighting gloves), tech rescue helmet, work boots (steel toed preferred), USAR gear also permitted

This 24-hour program is intended for emergency response personnel who will be required to respond to an incident involving high angle rope rescue operations, such as rescue from elevated structures or below-grade locations. Subjects to be covered include a review of safety, rope care and maintenance, knots, advanced rigging skills, anchors, patient packaging and litter tending, mechanical advantage systems, hauling systems in the high angle environment, lowering systems in the high angle environment, and belay systems, and lowering systems. This class meets training as outlined in NFPA 1670, 2017 edition and is the pre-requisite for Rope Rescue Operations & Rope Rescue Technician.
