Ice Rescue Technician – Open Enrollment
February 13–15, 2026Hosted by the New Vernon Fire Department
RPI is offering the full Ice Rescue Technician–level program, meeting the technical rescue requirements outlined in NFPA 1006 and NFPA 1670. This approximately 20-hour course covers Awareness, Operations, and Technician levels of ice rescue training. Students must be 18 years of age, provide their own PPE, and pre-registration is required. Certificates will be issued upon successful completion.
Maximum students: 40 (wait list activated once full)
Registration deadline: February 9, 2026
Cost: $335 per student
Schedule:
Friday evening: sign-in at 6:30pm
Saturday & Sunday: 8:00am – 4:00pm
